Long Time No Talk

Hi there, internet!

I haven’t posted regularly on social media or my blog since 2021, so I think it’s high time we caught up. Let me tell you, a LOT of life has happened in the last five years. I got engaged, left my corporate job, started a business, got married, got a dog, started a podcast, moved three times (including once across the country), had a baby, started countless hobbies, bought my first house, struggled in postpartum, and honestly… am just now getting my feet under me.

Let’s back up. In 2021, I had just moved to Denver, CO, with my then-boyfriend (now husband) Brian. We were exploring our new neighborhood, making new (amazing and life-long) friends, and loving every second of being somewhere new. I was posting regularly on my personal socials and this blog, and I started my content marketing business. That business is still going today! I specialize in search engine optimization, content strategy, and copywriting. That basically means I help businesses improve their website content so they can be found on Google. I’ve worked with some spectacular women-owned small businesses, as well as bigger brands like MasterClass, Greenlight, the University of Wyoming, and more.

Brian and I got engaged in 2021 and spent the next year and a half planning our wedding while I grew my business. I got busy with work, and my personal social media and blog fell off my priority list. After we got married in the spring of 2023, we took an epic 3.5-week honeymoon to Australia (my dream trip!) and, shortly after returning, adopted our wheaten terrier puppy, Stevie. That summer, I also started the What We’re Watching podcast with my best friend, Jeni. We cover nostalgic TV shows and movies, and deep-dive into pop culture topics. In the 2.5 years since we started the podcast, we’ve posted a new episode every week and have reached over 83,000 streams. It’s probably my longest-standing hobby and something I’m so proud of! Our community is simply the best.

In the fall of 2023, we found out our sweet pup has some genetic abnormalities in her urinary tract. Several vet hospitals and surgeries later, we know she’ll be incontinent for life. So, every morning we throw diapers on her cutie booty and a waterproof blanket on the couch. We also keep our eyes peeled for UTIs and spend more time at the vet than we’d prefer. But she is truly the happiest, most enthusiastic pup, and we are lucky to be her parents!

2024 was a rollercoaster. We found out I was pregnant, Brian left his job, and we had to leave our Denver apartment due to some unforeseen and very stressful circumstances… all in the same week. (Whoa). We got a new short-term lease in order to spend the summer in Denver, and then said a ~very sad~ goodbye to our best friends there. We moved across the country to Atlanta, where we are both from, so we could be closer to family when our baby arrived.

We settled into a rental in the Glenwood Park neighborhood of Atlanta (couldn’t recommend that area more!), right down the street from some of our best friends. Brian started a new job, and my business continued growing as my belly did. We did our best to adjust to a new place with just a few months before baby’s arrival. Although my due date was Christmas Day, I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension and induced a few weeks early. Juliet Jeanne Bradley made her sweet arrival on December 7, 2024, at Northside Hospital.

I can’t even begin to describe the roller coaster of emotions that comes with the newborn phase. I was overwhelmed with love, overwhelmed with gratitude, overwhelmed with hormonal changes… really, just overwhelmed. I didn’t expect how hard it would be to take care of a baby! Maybe that sounds naive, but I was truly unprepared for the pace at which my life was changing. I wasn’t sleeping, I was learning to breastfeed, and suddenly struggling with chronic migraines. As if not enough was changing… we bought our first house! (At two months postpartum - I have to laugh thinking about that timeline now).

Juliet is now almost 14 months old, and we are fully settled into our new home and neighborhood. After testing out three daycares, I think we’ve found her “forever” preschool. And while I’m still figuring things out one day at a time, I feel much more like myself these days. Now I can acknowledge that my business, healthy habits, friendships, and creative hobbies took a real back seat over the last year and a half. While some days this realization feels daunting, I’m mostly excited to spend 2026 rebuilding.

So, what does my daily life look like now? Well, I am a part-time freelancer and part-time stay-at-home mom. Each morning when Juliet goes to preschool, I work on my business. My work slowed down A LOT in 2025 (a weird adjustment after my busiest year in 2024), so I’m currently looking for new clients and amping up my own marketing. When I pick Juliet up in the afternoon, I do my best to be completely present with her for the rest of the day. We play, bake, and go for walks. Early in the morning and during her naps, I get more work done, or do things for the podcast and, more recently, my blog. I’ve been busy updating my old blog posts to keep my travel guides up to date and as useful as possible.

Sharing my life brings me so much joy and creative fulfillment, so here’s my plan: A new blog post every week chronicling life with a toddler, travel tips, thoughts on motherhood and business, things to do in Atlanta, easy weeknight recipes, and everything in between. Over on my socials, you’ll find vlogs, morning routines, and my latest crafting obsessions (hellloooo needlepoint). I’m debating doing “Vloguary” in February (is that a thing?). Anyway, I’m so excited to get reacquainted with you as I get reacquainted with myself and my new identity as a working mom and creative.

Sending you love!

Xo, Megan
